I have been playing the piano myself for 19 years and have been teaching for 10 years now. I teach a very traditional method where the students start out learning to play with finger numbers connected to each note, then gradually they are introduced to note names. After they learn note names we then put them on the grand staff and they learn how to read music without the note names on the page. I am happy to be able to give to my students the love of music that I gained as a young kid. Being able to play the piano can help their lives in so many ways. It is a great way to relieve the stress of a school day. It is also a great way to feel a sense of accomplishment as they learn new songs or perform in a recital. Playing the piano also makes it easier to learn other instruments because it helps them learn the basics of reading music.

All about Danielle Chase
Hello! Thanks for visiting! I wanted to post a little bit about myself so that you can know of my qualifications as a piano teacher and tutor. I graduated from Arizona State University summa cum laude with a degree in Elementary Education in December of 2006. After graduation I worked as a substitute teacher for grades K-8 for 5 months waiting for the next school year to start. In August of 2007 I started my teaching career as a kindergarten teacher at Lone Mountain Elementary School in the Cave Creek School District. During this school year I was pregnant with my first son Tyler. My husband Ben and I welcomed him in July of 2008 and I decided that I could not leave him all day to go back to work. So I became a stay at home mom and now teach piano and tutor at my home. It has been the biggest blessing in my life to be able to work from home in order to stay at home with my son all day. I am still able to enjoy my love of teaching while raising my son.
